Far in the frozen tundra, a legion dressed in white camouflage stands in the courtyard of a compound beneath the shadow of a snowy summit, patiently waiting for their new champion to show himself. Their leader, Cletus, emerges from the darkness and approaches his podium.
With one gesture, he motions for Ursus Armatus to step into the light and display his mighty visage. The steel-clad bear kneels and swears fealty to the human, who had been his father and mentor through the years.
Ursus then leads Cletus' army across the snow and arduous terrain in his first battle. As Ursus gazes upon the intended target, he is baffled by why they had been chosen by his mortal master for massacre. Ursus begins to transmit imagery from his ocular implant to the compound and questions his orders.
Furious, Cletus demands the beast butcher all the denizens of the encampment lest he turn the legions against Ursus. Yet, Ursus knew innocent civilians; men, women, and children, did not deserve to be slain. The bear then turns to face the army he once led and begins his melee on his former masters.
